Joys of web

My workmates have found the trail I've left in the web, learning where I had my honeymoon, amongst other things.

Well, I love to keep my friends entertained ;-)

Life with a woman

Well, most of the time living with a woman is wonderful (if she is your chosen partner, that is), but sometimes it is somewhat frustrating. This strip captures the frustration perfectly

Hmm. Bigger tax on alcohol wouldn't cause inflation?

An old skool Finnish politician, Paavo Väyrynen, thinks that the tax on alcohol should be higher, and the increase should be coincide with the lowering of tax on food. This way the increase wouldn't have affect on inflation.

Does he take us stupid, or what?

Seriously, though, I think most of the election cattle will buy his version of the thruth.

Yet another scam, this time from China

I got this fabulous offer: just answer to a few questions, and I'd be given lots of stuff.

Hmm.

This was marketed by spam. No indication who is behind this marvellous offer is to be found in the www-site, and the domain was registered just a few days ago.

I have to admit, the spammer's Finnish is pretty good. You can check it at here until it's gone

I'm gonna be so rich by answering all those questions!

Help from suprising people

My ex-workmates were planning to have a beer (or three, if they're following the familiar routine). Due to the moving I couldn't go but I sent everyone an e-mail revealing that we're moving.

I was very happily surprised that one of my ex-workmates lived for a few years in the same part of Switzerland we're moving to. He sent me some advice and links to net resources, which will probably prove to be invaluable.

Thanks!

Moving to Switzerland

Great changes are occurring for me and my family. Tatti has already moved to Switzerland, and the rest of us will follow on February.

Lots of changes. Kids will learn a new language, get new friends. We'll be getting used to a new environment.

I'll keep you posted. It is likely that there are quite a few funny and sometimes frustrating occurrences.
